I haven't done a very good job of keeping up with my blog this summer. It seems like summer has flown by! I can't believe the kids are back in school and we are back into our fall routine! I have pictures to post, but forgot my camera to download the pictures. I'll try to do that Monday. We have been so priviledged to have Binky, Scott and Wyatt home for awhile this summer! Our "little man" is growing and changing so much. He is now reaches for his pacifier and if he can find it, he stuffs it in his mouth. He also thinks that everything is about him (which it is, kind of! :-) ) and laughs no matter what is said to him. His Aunt Mandie tells him he is in "time out" and he thinks that is hilarious!
We have put Dafne and Noel in IBS this year. That is a real challenge, due to tuition, gasoline and just the logistics of getting them back and forth to school. Mandie is working two days a week at Noah's Arkademy and takes them on Mondays and Tuesdays. Then someone takes them up on Wednesdays and they spend Wed. and Thurs. nights in the dorm and are back home on Friday. So far they haven't complained about having to get up at 6:00 every morning.
I was priviledged to attend a Conference in St. Louis the week after Independence Camp and really enjoyed it. I will post a few pictures when I get my camera here. Another lady from our Shreveport, LA office was also there, so we had some fun evenings and found that everything was very expensive! We were very glad that our company was paying!
Yesterday our dog, Remington, was hit by a vehicle in front of our house. He was our watch dog and we've had him for a couple years at least. We were sad to lose him, but realize that those things happen and we were blessed to have him for a time to help protect our family.
I am very much looking forward to fall weather and the holiday season! Its my favorite time of the year and I savor it to the last minute! I planted a few crysanthemums (sp?) the other night and that kind of got me in the "fall" mood. Mandie and I made a fall door hanging last night and got that up. It's just a fun time of the year! Bianca changed my family room all around while she was home this summer and I love the new look. She is a very good organizer. The kitchen floor needed some work done on it due to improper repairs done by our contractor when the tree fell on our house 3 years ago and Scott and Manuel got that done, also. So, now I have a new floor covering in the kitchen, which I love.
